Babylon is among the 10 Towns in Suffolk District, New York, United States. Situated on Long Island, the Town population was 212,315 as of the year 2017 census. Regions of Jones Beach Island, Captree Island and Fire Island have been in the southernmost section of the Town. It boundaries Nassau County to the West, and the Atlantic Ocean to the South. At its westernmost point, its specific location is approximately 20 miles (32 km) from New York City at the Queens border, and approximately 30 miles (48 km) from Manhattan. Additionally, there is a village of Babylon situated within the Town.
